James MacIntyre enters BMW E46 M3 to new Britcar Trophy Series for 2014

James started out racing as a novice in 2010 driving his BMW E30 320i in the Production BMW Championship. Three race wins and numerous podium finishes in 2011 gave him 6th position overall in the championship. James also still holds the lap record at Snetterton 300 for the Production BMW Championship.

In 2012, James took a year out to concentrate on his career, but his enjoyment of endurance racing led him to participate in the 2CV 24 Hour Race and Birkett 6 hour relay race at Silverstone in that year.

James resumed racing in 2013 when he drove in the Performance Car Classic Thunder Championship in his BMW E34 540. Half way through the season, he switched to his current car, a BMW E46 M3. With a total of 9 podium finishes and numerous class wins, James was crowned overall champion of Classic Thunder in 2013.

LOOKING FORWARD

Stepping up in 2014, James has chosen Britcar as an opportunity to develop his racing skills and the M3 further.
