Britcar agrees new Technical Partnership to tackle noise issues
Britcar and Birchills Automotive are joining forces to combat noise problems for competitors and circuits. Birchills are experts in exhaust and silencing and are joining forces with Britcar to both help the competitors on the grid with any noise issues they may have during the season and also through their association with the MIA work with the MSA and local councils to develop a set of proposals to tackle noise issues going forwards to ensure a fair situation for both competitors and local residents.
The idea is to analyse the noise issue from all angles and see if improvements or alterations can be made in the current method of measuring to ensure the noise pollution for residents is minimised as well as ensuring the competitors can have a good understanding of how their cars can remain compliant through an event and a consistant and fair set of regulations to adhere to.
Birchills have written an open letter to the teams which can be accessed by clicking HERE where any teams who are concerned about their noise issues can contact them with some simple bits of information and they will be able to provide them with temporary and permanent solutions to not only minimise the noise but also improve the performance of the exhaust systems.
