The Simon Green Motorsport team has secured their spot on the 24hr grid.

A Statement from Simon Green – “We are proud to announce our association with Freddie Hunt and his team with our joint goal to return a great British mark to the track where it truly belongs.

Over the past four years a small but enthusiastic group have been working to resurrect the Jaguar XKR GT3 from the remains of the previous business. The current owner and our team have worked to establish the car as a new entity and progress to where we are currently.

It hasn’t been an easy road, but as we stand today we are in a position to get the cat back and we are very proud of where we have come from and also where we intend to be.

The small team in question, Simon Green Motorsport, has in the previous seasons competed in both historic and modern GT racing which includes podiums in the opening round of the 2013 Ginetta GT Supercup G50 class and an awesome 2nd in class and 31st overall at the 2014 Spa Classic 6 Hours in team built and prepared 1964 Ford Falcon Sprint at the hands of VW Cup and BTCC racer Tom Barley, ELMS Aston Martin driver Daniel Brown and accomplished American V8 racer and engine builder Simon Lane. This small but yet highly accomplished team consists of number of race enthusiasts who are working to achieve our goal of return to competitive racing during 2015, starting with the Dunlop 24 hour of Silverstone in April.

Our intention is to compete in further events throughout 2015 build on our blossoming relationship with our new associates.

We have recently published on our Facebook page our intentions and the way in which we want to engage with the enthusiastic and knowledgeable British motorsport fan base and companies who wish to accompany us all on our journey. We will also be conducting a shakedown test on the 13th December at Rockingham where our ‘Bring The Cat Back’ page will be launched and it will be the first opportunity for fans to see the car on track.”

Any enquires relating to how to get involved either as fan sponsor, as business partner or people interested in the two remaining drives in the car should be directed via the Simon Green Motorsport Facebook page or directly to .
